Supporting Small Business: Another reason Redstone is Credit Union of the Year

(June 25, 2018) Randy Mosley’s desire to find the next best printing method led to his company, Designer Plastics, Inc., supplying printed parts and inks to national and international companies.

Designer Plastics’ expertise shows up in unexpected places.

You might be driving a car with parts printed by the Arab, Ala., company. It supplies the printing for many knobs and other car interior parts. Enjoy SEC football? Mosley’s company prints the helmet straps for several SEC teams.

Redstone Federal Credit Union has been by Mosley’s side along the way. The relationship started with refinancing a current loan, but quickly grew to include new equipment loans and a line of credit, along with checking and savings accounts.

Redstone was recently named Credit Union of the Year by NAFCU and its services and products for small business owners is why Mosley says it stands head and shoulders above other financial institutions.

“Neil Carville and his team at Redstone have been so supportive of our business, even through some bad times,” said Mosley. “They are much more personable than our previous bank. And their quick loan decisions help us stay ahead of the competition. Redstone’s quick and easy wire transfers make our international business dealings much more efficient,’’ he said.

Redstone was recognized for its successes in the areas of community give-back efforts; serving underbanked or low-to-modest income members; providing financial education to youth; and devising and implementing a cultural transformation process to better serve its members.

NAFCU’s Credit Union of the Year is awarded by category size and Redstone won in the asset size of $250 million and above. That category comprises some of the nation’s largest credit unions.
