Redstone’s Santa delivers $5,000 to Village of Promise

Jan. 13, 2022 _ Redstone Federal Credit Union® is donating $5,000 to Village of Promise through its Letters to Santa initiative that ended Christmas Eve.

Redstone hosts Letters to Santa each year for children of all ages who want to send Santa their requests. For each electronic letter received, Redstone donates $1 to a designated charity that supports children and families. Letters to Santa is in its fifth year.

Mary Grace Evans, Assistant Vice President, Community Relations, said the initiative is always a bright spot in Redstone’s year and gives the Credit Union another avenue for giving back to its community.

Village of Promise is a Family Advancement Center. Its mission is to help families out of poverty using a multi-generational approach. Redstone’s donation will be used for programming that supports families on their journey toward financial independence.

"Village of Promise was thrilled to be chosen as the beneficiary for the Letters to Santa campaign,’’ said Bob Ludwig, Village of Promise Interim Executive Director. “We are not only grateful for the monetary donation that this partnership brings, but having the support of the largest credit union in the state gave us the opportunity to get in front of the community and educate them about our mission,’’ Ludwig said.
