A review of Redstone's credit card products

CardRates.com bills itself as The Ultimate Guide to Credit Cards.

The website features credit card ratings, reviews and guides. Its aim is to consistently provide the most trusted information about credit cards on the web.

Reporters contacted Redstone Federal Credit Union to discuss its revised Redstone Visa Signature®  credit card. Redstone’s enhanced credit card program gives members the freedom to turn their everyday purchases into the rewards they want, whenever they want.

Consumers want choices when they shop for a product or service. When it comes to credit cards, people want to choose their own rewards and how they’re redeemed. For residents of Alabama’s Madison, Morgan, Jackson, Marshall, and Limestone counties, and Lincoln and Rutherford counties in Tennessee, the choice is clear.  Redstone Federal Credit Union has spent the last 65 years working within the communities it serves and has used that experience when creating its portfolio of credit and loan options that appeal to a diverse audience. Members who have an active Redstone checking account are automatically enrolled in MemberPlus, a program that benefits members and allows them to receive better loan rates, discounted fees, and higher dividend rates.

As a credit union, Redstone focuses on people of modest means, said Fred Trusty, Redstone’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “When we look at our credit products, we really try to price them appropriately.”

Redstone’s two credit card offerings were intentionally curated to meet the needs of members who voiced their opinions on what makes a perfect credit card: no annual fee and low interest rates.

However, the Credit Union does not stop there. During 2017, Redstone gave back to its members $8.6 million in credit card rebates and promotions.
