Celebrate Redstone's 2026 Community Champions

Everyday Heroes Who Make Our Communities Brighter

At Redstone Federal Credit Union, we believe some of the most powerful acts of service happen quietly. They take place in neighborhoods, schools, churches, community centers, and homes every day – often without recognition.

Redstone's Community Champions initiative recognizes our members across Alabama and Tennessee who are making a meaningful difference through kindness, compassion, generosity, and service. These individuals embody the credit union philosophy of People Helping People and inspire others through their selfless commitment to improving the lives of those around them.

We are honored to shine a light on these remarkable individuals and help amplify the impact of their work. By sharing their stories, we hope to inspire others to serve, lead, and create positive change in their own communities.

As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, we honor all those who embody the spirit of Community Champions!

Meet Your 2026 Community Champions

Carlos Flores

Harleys for Hope

Inspired by a young cancer survivor, and her cherished teddy bear, Carlos Flores leads Harleys for Hope, delivering comfort to children facing difficult circumstances. Through community donations, the group distributes hundreds of stuffed bears each year to hospitals, nonprofits, and first responders, proving that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Rosemary Jordan

Empowerment Through Change

After losing her son to violence, Rosemary Jordan transformed grief into service. Through Empowerment Through Change, she celebrates student achievement, provides school supplies for music programs, and supports both college students and senior citizens. Guided by her son’s memory, Rosemary’s compassion continues to uplift others and create lasting change throughout her community.

Ty Oswald

Bearded Warriors

After returning from Iraq, Ty Oswald sought connection with fellow combat veterans. What began as informal gatherings grew into Bearded Warriors, a network providing camaraderie, resources, and support. Through service projects, outreach, and personal encouragement, Ty helps veterans and their families navigate challenges and build meaningful community.

Stacey Givens

Make A Way Foundation

Motivated by her son Brooks’ autism diagnosis, Stacey Givens created a sensory room at his school to help children thrive. That effort grew into the Make A Way Foundation, which has built 31 sensory rooms in 21 schools and supports more than 1,000 children across Limestone County.
