CULLMAN, Ala. — Redstone Federal Credit Union’s Acts of Brightness Crew recently surprised shoppers at Warehouse Discount Groceries in Cullman, purchasing groceries for approximately 40 families and turning a routine errand into an unexpected act of generosity.
The event was part of Redstone’s 75th Anniversary celebrations, marking the milestone by giving back through Acts of Brightness events across the communities it serves.
Celebrations in Cullman will continue with the grand opening and ribbon-cutting for its first branch there. The community event is Feb. 12, 2026, at 11am., 1 202 2Nd Ave.
The Cullman stop follows a series of Acts of Brightness events held last summer when Brightness Crews gave back more than $30,000 by paying for gas, buying groceries, helping with back-to-school shopping and covering utility bills for local residents. Wearing their signature bright blue shirts, crew members surprised people as they went about their day.
