June 13, 2025_ Joe Newberry was recently recognized by The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates for his years of credit union service and community advocacy.
Newberry, President and CEO at Redstone Federal Credit Union, received the Professional of the Year Award for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to service.
The annual award recognizes seasoned credit union professionals for their exceptional service and contributions to the credit union system through innovation, leadership, and advocacy.
“I am thrilled to have won this award and accept it on behalf of the hardworking and dedicated board of directors at Redstone, and for our outstanding employees who strive to meet our members needs each and every day,’’ Newberry said.
When Newberry took Redstone’s helm in 2008, the Credit Union had $2 billion in assets, 19 branches and 729 employees. Today, it has assets of $8 billion, 29 branches and 1,200 employees.
