Join us for our first Shred Day of 2017 on April 22 from 8:30 - 12 at Wynn Drive.

It’s important to shred those old documents to protect your information and keep you safe. But what if you don’t have a shredder? The last thing you want to do is lug it all to a store and pay to have it shredded. There is another option: Shred Day!

The Better Business Bureau of North Alabama is holding a free community-wide document shredding event at our Wynn Drive location on Saturday, April 22 from 8:30 am – 12 pm. Simply drive into the parking lot in front of The Atrium at Redstone Federal Credit Union® and drop off your sensitive documents to be securely shredded onsite by Document Destruction Services for free!

Securely shred your old documents and dispose of old electronics at our Shred Day on April 22.

There will also be free recycling of electronics with memory and hard drive destruction by Tennessee Valley Electronics Recycling.

The following items will be accepted for recycling:
(list is not comprehensive)

  • Paper (3 kitchen-size garbage bags or bank-size boxes per vehicle)
  • PCs
  • Laptops
  • Tablets
  • Hard Drives
  • Keyboards
  • Mice
  • Flat Screen Monitors/LCDs
  • Modems, Routers, & Switches
  • Speakers & Cords
  • Digital Cameras
  • DVD Players
  • DVRs
  • Office Phones
  • Cell Phones & Chargers
  • Other electronics containing memory

Hard drives will be destroyed on-site.

Items that will not be accepted include CRT monitors/TVs, light bulbs, trash, microwaves, cardboard, three-ring binders or hazardous materials.

Safely and securely destroy your documents and electronics at the first Shred Day of the year in Huntsville.

The parking lot will be set up for drive-thru-style services. Document Destruction Services and Tennessee Valley Electronic Recycling will be set up so that each of their services can be conducted immediately. Just hand over your items through the window or pop your trunk, and we'll grab your items and destroy or recycle them securely*—no need for you to even get out of your car!

No hazardous materials. Please limit materials to be shredded to three (3) 13-gallon bags or boxes. Three-ring binders or cardboard cannot be accepted.
