Thanking Those in Blue: Redstone Hosts Law Enforcement Appreciation Lunch

September 26, 2016

We're thankful to this team of employees who helped plan the officer lunch.

Redstone employees came together in The Atrium at our Wynn Drive location on September 23 to thank local, state, and federal law enforcement officers. Employees served up some delicious, homemade BBQ to officers from all over the North Alabama region. Redstone hosted the event as a thank you to those outstanding individuals who serve our communities and protect us every day.

Employees welcomed local police officers at the entrance of the Atrium.

Officers were greeted by employees dressed in blue as a sign of support and given thank-you notes written by employees who could not attend the lunch. They were also given a Redstone cooler to use in their squad car during long drives, which included a hand-written letter of appreciation and drawings from local children.

Officers received thank-you pinwheels as they walked into the luncheon.

Redstone employees turned pens into pinwheels that included thank-you notes.

Officers enjoyed a delicious meal prepared and served by Redstone staff. The lunch included pulled pork smoked overnight, potato salad, coleslaw, and baked beans. The meal ended with a large heaping of banana pudding and conversation. Our employees thoroughly enjoyed meeting our local law enforcement and were happy to have this opportunity to give back to these officers.

Police officers enjoyed a hot lunch in Redston'e Atrium.

We are in awe of the service these brave individuals give to our communities and are grateful for their continued hard work.
