Our Brightness Crews were out on the first day of spring with Redstone Acts of Brightness. What happened this time?

What better way to celebrate the first day of Spring than with Redstone Acts of Brightness? Our Brightness Crews headed out to a variety of restaurants throughout the Tennessee Valley on March 20th to buy lunch. Did you run into any of our employees in their bright tee shirts?

Redstone Acts of Brightness in March: Let's Do Lunch!

March 24, 2017

Our Brightness Crew enjoyed purchasing lunch in Guntersville at the local Dairy Queen.

What better way to celebrate the first day of Spring than with Redstone Acts of Brightness? Our Brightness Crews headed out to a variety of restaurants throughout the Tennessee Valley on March 20th to buy lunch. Did you run into any of our employees in their bright tee shirts?

Redstone employees from a variety of departments headed out to brighten lives by buying lunch!

Tracey, Marcia, Stacey and Jonathan at Gibson's BBQ.

Our Brightness Crews ventured to 15 different restaurants and surprised many people in our communities with free lunch. We had a great day filled with smiles, laughter, stories, and even some hugs! We enjoyed brightening the lives of those enjoying lunch and helping support local restaurants, like Gibson's BBQ and Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant.

We heard stories from members and non-member alike during our Acts of Brightness.

We enjoyed meeting members and non-members during our Acts of Brightness. The woman above has been a member most of her life.

We heard lots of stories on Monday during lunch. One woman had just left a doctor's appointment with news that she was cancer free for two years, and mentioned the lunch felt very special after hearing the happy news. We were able to purchase lunch for grandmothers with their grandchildren, families, workers on their lunch break and those enjoying the company of friends or family.

We met lots of people from our communities, including Arab, Guntersville, Fayetteville and Meridianville.

Have you received one of our Acts of Brightness cards?

Have one of these cards? Next time you see someone who needs their day brightened, help them out and pass it along!

If so, we simply ask that when you see someone who needs their day brightened, you spring to action and pass it along. We're hoping to be a catalyst for our community by helping everyone live brighter.

Betty was doing her own Acts of Brightness when we met her at Dairy Queen in Guntersville. Some people were out doing their own Acts of Brightness, like Betty from Guntersville. She was at Dairy Queen buying a cake, and mentioned that it was her birthday. We assumed she was buying the cake to celebrate, but to our surprise we found out she was getting the cake for Freedom Marine as a thank you for their excellent work and customer service on her boat. Talk about paying it forward!

It was great to see the smiles on people's faces, brought on by such a small gesture. We're hoping our Acts of Brightness will start a chain reaction in our communities, helping everyone Live Brighter!

We loved spreading smiles and happiness on the first day of Spring.

We can't wait for next month's Redstone Acts of Brightness!
