Learn more about HudsonAlpha and the wonderful things they do for our community through genetic research.

As we celebrate 65 years of serving the Tennessee Valley, we want to highlight those who have partnered with us to support our local communities. Here is HudsonAlpha's Redstone story, in their own words: The HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology has experienced extraordinary growth since opening its doors in April 2008. HudsonAlpha Shares Their Redstone Story

July 5, 2016

HudsonAlpha innovates on four platforms: research-driven discovery, education, genomic medicine and entrepreneurship in order to improve quality of life for those around the world.

As we celebrate 65 years of serving the Tennessee Valley, we want to highlight those who have partnered with us to support our local communities. Here is HudsonAlpha's Redstone story, in their own words:

The HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology has experienced extraordinary growth since opening its doors in April 2008. That’s thanks in part to the generosity of this community and support from organizations like Redstone Federal Credit Union® (RFCU®).

Based in Huntsville, HudsonAlpha is a nonprofit research institute where scientists, educators and entrepreneurs translate the power of genomics into real-world results to create a healthier, more sustainable world. Since 2009, RFCU has sponsored many of our annual events, including our Spring Benefit, Tie the Ribbons luncheons, and Double Helix Dash 5K.

RFCU’s generous support helps fund many of our projects, including research and initiatives on breast and ovarian cancer, neurological diseases, psychiatric disorders and childhood genetic disorders. Redstone doesn't just support HudsonAlpha financially; the organization’s members are actively engaged—attending events, running races and raising awareness. In addition, Joe Newberry, RFCU president, participates in our Ambassadors program to help spread the word about our work throughout the community. Thank you so much for your support!
