If you're looking for some great fall festivities, look no further than your local library for some great activities the entire family can enjoy. We've scoured their huge list of events and picked out some of our favorites! With 12 libraries spread across Madison County, you're bound to find some events near you to attend this fall.

There are lots of fun family events this fall at the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library!

If you're looking for some great fall festivities, look no further than your local library for some great activities the entire family can enjoy. We've scoured their huge list of events and picked out some of our favorites! With 12 libraries spread across Madison County, you're bound to find some events near you to attend this fall. 

Family Movie Night 
When: Sept 9th and Oct 14th at 6:00 p.m.
Where: Monrovia Public Library

Who: Family
What: Being the entire family and enjoy a family-friendly film at the library! Popcorn and snacks will be available at a small cost. Catch The Jungle Book in September and Ratchet & Clank in October. 

Family Story Time
When: 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. 
Where: Madison Public Library
130 Plaza Boulevard, Madison, AL, 35758
Who: Family
What: If you can't catch story time during the week, join Ms. Teresa for some great storytelling on Saturdays!  

Teen Hangout Weekend
When: 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month at 1:00 p.m.
Where: Downtown Huntsville Library
915 Monroe Street, Huntsville, AL, 35801
Who: Teens
What: Get your teenages out of the house and into something creative! Teens can enjoy a variety of arts, crafts and DIYs projects! 

Knitting at Ten or Knitting at Nine
When: Every Saturday at 10:00 a.m. or Every Monday at 9:00 a.m.
Where: Elizabeth Carpenter Public Library

Who: Family
What: Knitters of all skill levels and ages can come together as a goup to get their knit on! Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned pro, you can meet some fellow knitters and maybe pick up some tips or share some.

Night Owls Family Fun Night 
When: Friday, October 14 at 6:00 p.m.
Where: Bailey Cove Branch Library, 1409 Weatherly Plaza SE, Huntsville, AL, 35803
Who: Family
What: Enjoy a fun night of fall festivites with the whole family! There will be games, crafts, wacky experiments, and some very special guests. Food vendors will be on-site, so come hungry. 

Supernova Science Club
When: Every Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
Where: Eleanor E. Murphy Branch Library,
 7910 Charlotte Drive, Huntsville, AL, 35802
Who: Children ages 5-11
What: Each week, children can explore a different science topic through hands-on activities. Reserve a spot by signing up the Monday before the event by contacting Ms. Haley at the branch at (256) 881-5620. 

Young Writers Club
When: 2nd Saturday of each month at 2:00 p.m.
Where: Bailey Cove Branch Library
1409 Weatherly Plaza SE, Huntsville, AL, 35803
Who: Children and teens ages 9-18
What: Have an aspiring novelist or poet in the family? Send them to Young Writers Club. Children and teens ages 9-18 will explore different genres of writing and learn new techniques to help them hone their skills.
