Breakfast is Served! May's Redstone Acts of Brightness

What happened during May's Redstone Acts of Brightness?

The Brightness Crews were out all around the Tennessee Valley once again! This time, they purchased donuts, coffee and breakfast as a way to brighten people's mornings. Have you ran into our Brightness Crews during a Redstone Act of Brightness yet?

Redstone employees donned their bright yellow t-shirts once again and headed out to various breakfast spots all over the Tennessee Valley. One of the first people to experience our May Acts of Brightness was a grandmother on her way to visit her grandson who had been recently hospitalized. "I really needed something to brighten my spirits today. Thanks for making that happen," she said.

We enjoyed surprising people with breakfast during May's Redstone Acts of Brightness.

It was great to see how such a small random acts of brightness could help make someone's day. In Meridianville, we spoke with a woman who was on her way to sit with her family while her niece went through her first round of chemotherapy. She was so grateful for the gesture and said that it really did brighten her day.

Smiles were everywhere from this simple and small act of brightness. While passing out boxes of doughnuts at the Dollar General on 53 in Harvest, we met a family that was on their way to a funeral. Virtual Teller Ashley says, "these acts, as small as they may have seemed, really did make an impact on those in our community. It also made a difference for me to be able to help bring a smile to others. I cannot wait for the next opportunity to spread brightness!"

If you were touched by one of our Acts of Brightness, share your own story here. We'd love to hear about your experience. Have you performed your own Act of Brightness for someone in our community? Share that too! If you happen upon one of our Brightness Cards, all we ask is that you pay it forward with your own Act of Brightness.

Have you been given one of these cards? If so, we just ask you do your own act of brightness and pass it on!

It might not seem like much, but even something as simple as a cup of coffee or a donut can really brighten someone's day! Be on the lookout each month for our Brightness Crews in their neon shirts for your own opportunity to experience an Act of Brightness.
