Amy Wagnon Shares Her Redstone Story

As we celebrate 65 years of serving the Tennessee Valley, we want to share the stories of some of our employees who have served our members in exemplary ways. Amy Wagnon is an Administrative Loan Officer in our Credit Analysis & Underwriting department who has helped our members for almost 40 years. Here is Amy's Redstone story, in her own words:

When I was 20 I heard there was a job opening at Redstone Federal Credit Union®. My mother drove me to put in an application, because I had no idea where “Research Park” was. After several follow-up phone calls inquiring about the job, I discovered I did NOT get the position. Lucky for me, the other applicant was unable to accept, so I was in.

This year will mark 39 years working for this great company. Not only was I raised by my mom and dad, but also learned valuable lessons while growing up with my Credit Union family.

On my days off, I volunteer in the community and, believe it or not, wonder what’s happening at work.  But who knew I would meet the man of my dreams at the Credit Union, when I made him a car loan. We’re celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this year. I never expected a job to be more than just a job.

I truly believe in Redstone Federal Credit Union’s RISE values—respect, integrity, soundness and excellence. I am truly thankful for the Credit Union being there for my family through the good times, as well as those challenging times, and look forward to the next decade.

Your trusted advisor,
Amy Wagnon
