Looking forward to another 70 years of meeting financial needs and building community

Redstone celebrates its 70th year this November

We started in 1951 with $55 in a shoebox and a dream. Today, that dream of helping our members, their families, and communities reach their financial goals is even more vivid. We’ve grown from those first five members to more than 650,000! Our aim is for every member to feel a connection with YOUR credit union because we exist for YOU!

We know we are doing something right when we can help members purchase their first home; get the loan they need to start their business; or provide trusted, sound advice during difficult financial times. Improving the financial well-being of our members and communities is our mission. We do that in many ways, including awarding college scholarships, providing financial counseling, and by volunteering and serving with non-profits in critical areas. We also do that with great rates, fewer fees, and more product offerings for you.

To keep improving, we want to hear from our members. We want to address your needs. See us at a branch or chat with us online. By responding to our members’ input, we continue to grow and improve, and move successfully into the next decade.

Redstone is regularly ranked as one of the best credit unions in Alabama; and one of the Top 100 financial institutions in the nation.

Our Adopt-A-School Program supports more than 10,000 students and staff at numerous schools in North Alabama and Middle Tennessee. The program is an avenue for Redstone employees to build stronger relationships with students, faculty and staff at these schools. The employee teams volunteer at schools by serving as lunch buddies, field day helpers, guest speakers, mentors, and providing school supplies. Those school supplies recently included more than paper and pens, but a life-saving gift instead. We partnered with the American Heart Association to provide CPR Anytime Kits to five high schools.

Redstone is community-connected. For the past four years, Redstone has served up barbeque and fixings to the area’s first responders during its annual First Responders Appreciation Luncheon. People Helping People is our philosophy and we live it each day.

It’s our pleasure to serve you and we look forward to meeting your financial needs over the next 70 years! Thank you for your loyalty and dedication!

Cory Bullard

“After struggling with drug addiction, my life is now blessed! I’m married, have children, and a full-time job that allows me to give back. Attending a class taught by Briana Cousins from Redstone helped me get my life back. The classes were very impactful, and Briana helped clean up my Redstone account and get my credit squared away. She even helped me get into school!”

Matt Davidson

“My wife and I opened an ice cream truck business during the pandemic. We run our business accounts through Redstone and they have been super helpful with anything I have needed. Those ladies that work in the Fayetteville branch are the best!”

Janet Kincherlow-Martin

“Redstone’s involvement in the United Way isn’t just monetary; their employees also volunteer with us. Their significance is not just in the financial arena, but also within the community. They’re not just a financial institution, they’re a community partner.”

Donald and Samantha Odom

“The $65,000 winnings from Redstone helped us move from living paycheck to paycheck to sending our daughter to college. We were able to pay off some debt, which allowed us to start saving. Although winning the money was temporary, it provided a way for us to help her earn the degree she will have for a lifetime.”

St. John Courtenay Jr.

"As a Redstone member since 1960, I’ve never considered banking anywhere else. I have checking, savings, and investment accounts at Redstone. I was thrilled when a Redstone branch opened near me in Murfreesboro."

Kenedee Brazelton

Thanks to Redstone, Kenedee is excited about saving! She collects her coins all year, and each July takes them to her nearest Redstone branch. She empties them into the coin counting machine and adds the amount to her account. Her mom traces her love for savings back to Redstone.

Patrick Wynn

“Redstone doesn’t just provide support to community efforts. Their gifts are transformational. These are gifts that continue to pay dividends for generations to come by directly impacting families.”

Bunni Wheeler

“Redstone has really been a partner with the Chamber during the pandemic. Stephanie Gerstman led a group of volunteers who handed out meals to the children when schools closed. They also partnered with us to build a new Chamber building. Redstone is a catalyst that brings our community together.”

Charleigh Ann Catron

“My business wouldn’t be where it is today without the $400 seed money from Redstone. I used the money from Redstone’s new account promotion to buy ingredients and baking supplies.”

Caleb Spearing

“I have five business accounts with Redstone, and my personal account is there. When I go into the branch, we laugh, we talk, we hang out. It’s not a chore going in there. There is always a willingness to help. I appreciate the personal service.”

Tommy & Beka Nelms

“We had accounts at five different places. Now we do everything through Redstone because they make it so easy. Rates are low, customer service is great, and the facilities are beautiful.”

Donald Smith

“Redstone’s member service is great! Whether I’m traveling or in town, if anything suspicious occurs on my account, they always catch it and I’ve never had a problem – not in 25 years!”
