Now is the time to think about how you’re going to make this semester even better than the last one. Take advantage of your refreshed state of mind and go back strong! Referee for Club Sports

If you’re a sports lover or expert, being a referee for club or intramural sports is a fun way to make some money. This is a great way to stay involved with sports and make new friends with similar interests.

Retail

Retail allows students to have a flexible schedule and work shifts that fit around your classes. Plus, with a larger staff at mass retailers it’s easier to switch shifts if a last-minute study session pops up. An added bonus is that many retail stores offer scholarships for current college students!

On-campus Opportunities

Working on-campus is convenient and a great way to make friends! These jobs will work around your course load and sometimes you can find positions that relate to your major, meaning you’ll get experience on top of money.

Stocking

Stocking hours are generally early mornings or in the evenings, making it simple to work into your schedule. If you have a favorite clothing store, look into applying for a backroom position—you’ll see all the new items hot off the truck plus get a discount!

Apartment Sales Associate

Work where you live and save money on rent! As an apartment sales associate, you’ll get to interact with other college students on a daily basis and get experience in real estate, marketing and sales.

Freelancing

Freelancing is great for those in graphic design, writing, editing, photography and overall business and marketing majors. Head over to your career center or network with local businesses to find opportunities.

Dormitory Staff Member

Living in a dorm and loving it? Look into becoming part of the dormitory staff! You’ll meet lots of people and probably receive a discount on your rent. You’ll get to help plan dorm events, mentor younger students, and not have to worry about driving to work.

Lifeguard

Whether it’s over the summer while you’re back home, or working the pool at school, lifeguarding is great for those who want to get outdoors and enjoy the pool. If your school has an indoor pool, that means you can work all-year long.Do you have a job to add to our list? Let us know in a comment below!
